Ailun Jiang was born in Nanjing, China.
In 2008, Ailun Jiang majored in Visual Communication at Zhejiang University in Hangzhou, China. In 2014, he continued his study at Weißensee Academy of Art Berlin, Germany. After completing his Master of Arts degree, he specialized and focused in Illustration and Moving Images. 
He also served as a jury member for the Japan Illustration Award 2021. Currently, he lives and works in Berlin as an illustrator and graphic designer, and is a member of Illustrators for Hire.
